A Great Start
Happy New Year! So far we have had a great start to 2011. Last year at this time we were trying our best to focus on the positive (the upcoming birth of our first baby) after I had just lost my grandfather and Brian had just lost his job. This year we can't help but focus on the positive...Brian is busy working, cake orders are rolling in, Isabelle is now 6 months old and SO much fun, and the best news yet -- Mac and Libby are expecting!!! Isabelle's new little cousin is due to arrive mid-July and we all couldn't happier.6 months is the beginning of so many new and exciting things for Isabelle. We finally introduced her to one of the greatest activities in life (as far as I'm concerned) - eating FOOD! She seems to be enjoying it so far.
And I decided that it was time for her to sit up in the stroller. I will miss being able to see her sweet face on our walks, but now that she is front-facing, Isabelle has a whole new perspective and she quite likes it! Crockett also has a new collar ever since our little stroller accident...no more Carowinds-like stroller rides for Miss Isabelle .
We went up to Greensboro on Saturday for Brant Richardson's (Lori and Tyler's son) 1st birthday. Of course Lori threw a fabulous farm themed party and all the little ones had a great time.
And I decided that it was time for her to sit up in the stroller. I must say that I was in heaven when she fell asleep in my arms at the end of the party. This doesn't happen much anymore now that she is constantly moving and exploring. Her stillness was pure bliss. 
Just before heading out of town we dropped off a cake at Charlotte Country Club (for family friend, Katherine Porter's wedding).
