Summatime

A few highlights from our Summer 2015.

Barksdale Beach week at Litchfield over July 4th:

The kid is obsessed with his daddy.  I mean obsessed.

Sutton's 4th Birthday:

I'm not sure who had more fun with face painting…me or the kids!
"cannon ball!!!!"

My baby turned 5 and had the best birthday yet.  What a lucky girl!  But I'm much luckier to have her!

I had to fix Isabelle's favorite meal of all time, chicken pot pie and we succeeded in having our first ALL family meal at the beach (kids and adults!).  Instead of a cake, I served ice cream sundaes.  Complete with a cherry on top, which is really all Isabelle cared about.

Feeling happy and looking beautiful in her new rockstar outfit.

It wouldn't be a beach week without...
Family photo take one:
Success! (well, almost)

Celebrating the 4th with the annual parade!

July 4th dance parties
And we head back home where
The 5th birthday celebration continues…

I stepped back into childhood and put together a very special fairy party for my girl and her besties.

I couldn't help but go overboard once again.  It's just what I do with kid's parties.
We made fairy houses.

I painted faces and each child made their own head wreath with flowers.

Cake time!  Carrot cake was her pick this year.  Some 5 year olds are not so sure about carrot cake.  Isabelle is quite sure about all of my cakes!!!

After a faulty blow out of candles (by her hilarious young cousin, Molly) Isabelle and I partner up.

After lunch, I read a note that a fairy dropped off at our house.  It shared the news of a scavenger hunt….and off they went searching for lost items that fairies left behind for them!

I could not be more proud and in love with this child.

Our summer ended with a trip to the lake where we all enjoyed beautiful weather and special time with baby Jamison!  Isabelle is so obsessed with him and such a sweet and loving cousin to him!  Collier didn't try to steal his toys or push him, so we are thankful for that.

Nearly impossible to get a photo of all 3 looking at the camera!

The love is mutual.
Summatime means "s'more time"!!!

Lots of corn consumption.  And these kids LOVE corn.

Being at the lake means staying in PJs till 10 o'clock.

One of the many beautiful days we enjoyed!

Blessed grandparents

They preferred to be on top of the water rather than in the water!

Beautiful family!
