Isabelle's First Easter

Isabelle's first Easter was very special, and once again a reminder of how blessed we are to have our wonderful family here in Charlotte to spend each and every holiday with. Easter is the one holiday when we combine ALL family, in-laws and cousins who are in Charlotte, which makes for a very large gathering at the Barksdales' home, full of fun! Easter week is always quiet at For Goodness Cakes, so I enjoyed free minute with my sweet baby!

One of the cakes I made was for my friend, Meg's, grandmother who turned 100! I matched the invitation with Spring tulips. What a wonderful accomplishment to live 100 years!!! What a beautiful weekend to spend with family!
Isabelle cannot ever get enough kisses from me as far as I'm concerned.

Isabelle went to her first Easter egg hunt...I'm starting to learn what fun Easter is now that I have a little one! She hung out with some of her playgroup buddies. One of these days we will all stop to enjoy the moment rather than constantly snap pictures..........maybe.

Izzie's expression of the month. We call it "the face." We think it means "I'm not so sure if I like this." Cracks me up.

Isabelle's first Easter basket was full of books...can't have enough!

Reading to Crockett. She seems amused.

Of course an Easter cake for brunch at the Barksdale. The eggs are not edible! Rather than spend several hours making eggs out of sugar, I decided to use that precious time to be with Izzie!Betsy Grace getting ready for the Easter egg hunt!

The hunt is on!
